For the third consecutive year, the 15th District brought a little Christmas joy to area children through its Secret Santa ini- tiative. Officers and other personnel sur- prised local school kids with gifts from their wish lists.
The kids walked away smiling from CPD’s annual toy giveaway at the depart- ment’s headquarters on Michigan Avenue. Dolls, board games, remote con- trol cars and much, much more filled tables, giving youngsters a chance to get an early holiday gift. Santa also made an appearance for the good boys and girls.
On Dec. 19, families lined the 7th District headquarters in Englewood, which was lit up for the annual Santa’s Workshop. Officers, with the help of spon- sors, decorated the building and collected presents in anticipation of Santa’s visit.
