Spreading cheer through book donations
The Chicago Police Department Domestic Violence Unit donates $2,200 worth of short stories, picture books and novels to children in need this holiday season. On Dec. 6, carts stacked with stories were ready for delivery to kids who have been affected by domestic abuse. The unit’s goal is to spread cheer to the children of the com- munity through this act of story sharing. d
