St. Jude March Memorial March
March of remembrance
As they have for many years, hundreds of uniformed Chica- go Police O cers joined with families of fallen o cers to walk in the annual St. Jude Memorial March. On the morning of May
7, participants stepped o from Gold Star Families Memorial Park near Soldier Field.
The event, held every year on the rst Sunday in May, represents one of the longest-stand- ing traditions in Chicago Police O cers’ e orts to remember and commemorate o cers who have died in the line of duty. The CPD honor guard also paid its respects with a ri e
salute and the playing of “Taps.”
This year marked the 85th annual march and was presented by the St. Jude Police League.
