Chicago Police Officers connect in neighborhoods and support worthy causes around the city through sports. Here’s a spotlight on some of the fun and competitive games and teams that officers are using
to stay active and represent the city in a positive way.
        25th District
10th District
In a competitive contest, 25th District officers hit the court against stu- dent-athletes from the Marine Leadership Academy. When the final buzzer sounded, the Bulldogs closed it out with a 64-62 win, but the smiles on ev- eryone’s faces show that the game was a victory for all.
15th District
In the 15th District, grade schoolers learned the basics of archery from offi- cers certified by USA Archery. The after-school instruction was made possi- ble by the Westside Police and Youth Sports Conference.
Officers and explorers in the 10th District ascended walls and boulders side by side during a rock-climbing event at Brooklyn Boulders in the South Loop. The outing taught non-traditional ways of problem-solving and team building.
