What inspired you to become a lender?
I love numbers, being a problem solver and assisting/educat- ing families on their largest financial investment.
They key to being a successful lender is...
My business is truly from the heart. I am first-generation, and both my parents migrated here from Italy and instilled key com- ponents in my brother and me: faith, honesty and a hard work ethic.
What separates me from the competition...
Being available. Most police officers do not work 9-to-5, so
being available is critical, as is educating my borrowers to build their confidence in purchasing a home, investment property and/or refinancing to save money or term reduction. Lastly, de- livering on my word. My goal is to add value to each person I have the opportunity to connect with.
Why you should work with me...
Each transaction is unique to me, from credit score to down payment and closing costs. It’s important to reach out to a mort- gage advisor at least a couple months before purchasing a home. This allows for time to address any surprises we may encounter on your credit report. Credit score is critical because this factors into your interest rate. Closing costs for purchasing a home in Chicago average around $5,000. In addition, however, the City of Chicago has a transfer stamp that I always discuss with my bor- rowers (the buyer is responsible for $7.50/$1,000 of the purchase price). This can become a large cost on behalf of the borrower. There are also down payment assistance programs available, should you qualify. Our company has a program called STaR, specifically for first responders, teachers, correctional officers and firefighters.
