Chicago officers celebrate the joy of giving
To cap off the holiday season, members participated in toy drives and toy giveaways for children across their local commu- nities. Officers spread holiday cheer by dressing up as Santa and sporting a handmade sleigh to deliver toys to children in need.
Officers emulated the joy in giving, which is a great remind-
er during this holiday season. Hundreds of children were over- joyed to receive gifts like toy cars, action figures or stuffed ani- mals from the officers who hoped to make their holidays a little brighter. Here are some of the ways Chicago Police Officers gift- ed toys to children:
4th District
Santa made a surprise appearance in his sleigh at a jujitsu class on Dec. 20. The children were excited to receive gifts from the 004 toy drive.
Officers celebrated Día de Los Reyes on Jan. 8 by handing out toys to children in the community and dressing up as the three kings.
