In the homestretch leading up to Christmas, officers in the 24th District did their part to hand out toys to help make sure youngsters in the com- munity had a little something fun this holiday season.
The district partnered with the Chicago Park District and the U.S. Marine Corps for giveaways at Warren and Pottawattomie parks, where the fami- lies pulled up to receive a gift from officers and Santa.
During Christmas week, officers joined with the Helen and Joe Acevedo Foundation to spread holiday cheer and presents at the Good News Part- ners shelter in East Rogers Park, where Santa rolled up in style.
