CHICAGO LODGE 7 I■ MARCH 2016
Election season tips to keep officers well informed
Please check Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7’s politi- cal endorsements, located in this issue of our magazine or on our website at www.chicagofop.org.
One of my favorite resources is the Illinois State Board of Elections website at www.elections.state.il.us. Here you can find information regarding election law, polling place information and a number of other tools to guide you with the election process. What I find most helpful is you can look up political contributions to and from all the candidates running for office. This infor- mation can really demonstrate where a certain candi- date’s interests lie. For example, I decided to look up who has been donating money to the Kim Foxx for State’s Attorney Committee called Friends for Foxx. A very interesting contribution occurred on Feb. 18, when Arthur Loevy of the law firm Loevy & Loevy
