Bill Call
The current Illinois General Assem- bly legislative session is in full force, which has included a plethora of bills introduced that significantly impact Chicago Police Officers. Lodge 7’s lobbying efforts are hard at work assessing these bills that are both good and bad for the police and exerting advocacy on both sides. The bad news is that many of these bills are part of the criminal justice reform driven by special interest groups. The good news is that Lodge 7 has a plan to keep these bills from passing.

Correction
In the February issue of Chicago Lodge 7 Magazine, information in the President’s Report on page 5 in- correctly identified members of the SWAT team who picked up a wounded officer in the West Garfield Park neighborhood as being from the 10th District. They are from the 11th District. We apologize for any confusion this error might have caused.
