 FINISHING
Allowthevasetodryfor1-2 days. I don’t usually bake large vases. They will cure on their own after several days and can be wiped with
a damp cloth for cleaning. If you are painting this on a wine glass, you will want it to be even more durable, so bake it in the oven. Place the glass on a cookie sheet in a cold oven. Turn the oven to 350’F (176.67’C) and bake for 30 minutes. If the product you are using recommends a lower temperature, follow those instructions. Turn the oven off and leave the glassware in the oven until it is completely cool. I prefer to hand wash all my painted glassware.
Jill (Jillybean) Fitzhenry has been actively involved in the decorative painting industry for over 40 years. She is a Past President of SDP (2007 - 2008), the author of many painting books, pattern packets, and video lessons. Currently, she enjoys conducting Zoom classes as well as travel teaching. Jill lives in Savage, Minnesota with her little dog Ginger and lives in a dream world when she paints. Computer graphics is her second love. Combining the two creative arts for her business endeavors has been a fun challenge. Being able to share her designs with others has truly been a blessing. That little sparkle in someone’s eye when they realize they can paint is so gratifying. You can watch many free video lessons on her YouTube. You can find all the links for the videos on her website.
