PREPARATION
Stenciling is very easy and fun!!! Just a few good tips. Please read before starting this project.
LET’S PAINT
Tip 1: Use Painter’s tape
Painter’s masking tape can hold your stencil in place. Make sure all areas of the stencil are flat before you load your sponge brush with paint.
Tip 2: THIN, THIN and THIN
Don’t overload the sponge brush with paint. If you have too much paint, it will seep under the edges of your stencil. Load the brush lightly and evenly. Wipe off any extra paint before applying the stencil to your project. You’ll get better results by using two thin coats of paint rather than one thick coat. Sometimes I will apply three coats when I’m working on a three-dimensional surface.
