At store level, the management team needs to make sure that the work environment remains well-balanced and organized to ensure maximum productivity. Effective scheduling of staff will guarantee the time allocated will be used efficiently to optimize results during peak hours and key cluster periods where the main focus should be on giving customers amazing service to find what they are looking for and driving sales.
Ensure you have all your staff’s availabilities by no later than one month prior to your peak period. Have your staff advise you in advance of any specific days they cannot work due to holidays, festivities, travel, etc. Have your schedules planned out at least two weeks in advance. For example, the schedules for weeks ending December 1st and 8th should be entered into StoreForce and approved by week 4 of November.
Start planning ahead for your staffing needs! Take into consideration what your recommended coverage is according to StoreForce in order to determine the number of associates to keep after your peak period has ended.
High traffic segments
During peak periods and high traffic segments, Store Managers or Assistant Store Managers should be present on the sales floor as they have the most experience when it comes to driving sales and leading their team to green.
