AUSTIN CINDRIC

Birth Date: September 2, 1998 Hometown: Columbus, OH
Birth Date: August 12, 1993 Hometown: Bakersfield, CA
Team: No. 60 Ford Mustang / Team Penske
Team: No. 16 Toyota Tundra/Roush Fenway Racing

It was inevitable that Austin Cindric’s career path would be in motorsports – and at Team
Penske – given that his father, Tim Cendric, is the team president. But so much for the
choice of a route. The manner of its traverse has been solely in the young driver’s
              hands, and it’s been spectacular.

With only six previous starts entering the 2017 season, and a best
finish of 14th, the 20-year-old finished eighth in points last year while
splitting time between Team Penske and Roush Fenway Racing with
              seven top-five finishes and 13 top-10s.

This year, he only has one allegiance.
FEATURED DRIVERS “I have had such a unique opportunity this year to learn

from so many people, and to learn quite a lot in a short
amount of time,” Cindric said. “To have the chance
to apply that experience for a full season with Team
Penske in 2019 is a huge step in my career. I am so
grateful for the confidence Mr. Penske, the 22 team,
Ford Performance, Team Penske and all of their
partners have put in me. I can’t wait to see what
we’ll be able to accomplish together.”

As an 18-year-old rookie in 2017, Cindric not only
qualified for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck
Series post-season, but he raced all the way to the
              Championship 4 at Homestead-Miami Speedway –
the youngest competitor to do so.

He made it to the second round of the playoffs again in
              2018 in the Xfinity Series.

Cindric’s fifth-place finish in Brad Keselowski Racing’s (BKR)
              No. 19 Ford F150 wasn’t quite title-worthy. But the come-from-
behind charge gave Cindric third in the final standings, behind
NCWTS champion Christopher Bell and runner-up and 2016 title-
              holder Johnny Sauter.

With the closure of Keselowski’s team, Cindric moved in 2018 to a driver-
development team fielded by Roush Fenway Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity
Series. He teamed with Ty Majeski and former BKR teammate Chase Briscoe
in the iconic No. 60 Ford Mustang. He drove the Nos. 12 and 22 in selected
              starts for Team Penske.
