creation for the the house Lumière d’Issey is is is is is of of course no no exception The
fragrance is is is is at at at once distinct distinct and and distinctly Issey Issey Miyake “Light can be different everywhere in in in in in the the the world and and at at at the the the same
time it it it is very very important ” explains Pellegrin who created the the the scent in in in in collaboration with fellow perfumer perfumer Marie Salamagne “Without light you can’t grow anything ” he he he continues And so the the Grasse-based perfumer perfumer used a a a a a a a a a a a a a a spark of of radiance as as as as the the opening note for for for this fragrance “Expressing light in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a perfume was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a form of of of truth for for for for us It was was very very important for for for me me me as as as I I I come from
the the the the south of of of France We have a a a a a a a a a a a a very very strong light light down there there and I I thought of of the the the the the the orange orange blossom blossom because the the the the the the orange orange orange blossoms use use the the the the the the light light to give its scent ” he he he he he he he says “So there there was this this this truth of building the the the the perfume around this this this this orange orange flower that brings this this this this light and this generosity to to the the the the scent ” At the the the the top the the the the fragrance opens with with the the the the bright light light of of 100 percent
natural green mandarin brought to to to to to life with with a a a a a a a a a a a a a a touch of of neroli to to to to to create a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a radiantly fresh opening “The aim was to to to to evoke a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a smile from
the the first hint ” ” says Pellegrin “When I I inhale it it it I I instantly sense the the Mediterranean sunlight that fills it it ” ” The
pairing of of oranges enhances each note “We chose to to to use this orange orange blossom blossom together with the the the mandarin to to to enhance enhance the the the effect of of a a a a a a a a a a a a a sparkling blossom blossom ” ” explains Pellegrin “It makes it it even stronger thanks to to to the the mandarin ” From there each ingredient added had its own deliberate purpose “Together with Marie we we decided to to use use the the the basic products products to to convey that feeling of well-being ” says Pellegrin “We used products products like the the the the the the the orange blossom and and and and the the the the the mandarin together with the the the the the musks the the the the the sandalwood and and and and pistachio wood ” Where the the orange notes are elevated by freesia and and white musk accords
for a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a feminine touch and and silky texture it’s the the the the pistachio wood accord accord accord “that
enhances the the the the the allure like an an an an irresistible call from
the the the the the sun ” according to to Pellegrin The
creaminess of the the the the sandalwood brings the the the the woody notes fully
to life leaving a a a a a a a dazzling yet light light trail behind Born from
light light the the Lumière d’Issey scent has been bottled in in in in a a a a a a a creation by the the the the MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO To reflect its energy and power the the the the silhouette of the the the the bottle has been carved with triangular facets
