MANUAL STOPWATCHES MAKE A GRAND RETURN New England running brand Tracksmith teamed up with vintage watch dealer Wind Vintage to release a dazzling collection of vintage stopwatches from historic watch brands like Breitling and Heuer. The coolest of the bunch may be the Heuer Clubmate, an official Olympic timer from the 1980s, or a Heuer stopwatch made for New York City’s gym teachers and high school sports coaches back in the 1960s. While the collection of one-offs has since sold out, runners and swimmers of all stripes should be on the lookout for vintage manual stopwatches if they’re looking to add a bit of style (and reliability) to their
training regimen.
