Bold Attraction
A little slice of Rome landed on Bloor Street’s famed “Mink Mile” this summer. BVLGARI opened its Canadian flagship store along the
stretch of luxury shopping in Toronto, setting up shop in The Colonnade. Growing from the success of its first Toronto location in Yorkdale
Shopping Centre, which opened in 2014 and was expanded in 2022, and its concession at Holt Renfrew’s Bloor Street outpost, which opened in 2019, the new flagship proves the maison sees Toronto as a city worth investing in.
Spanning 3,000 square feet, the new location was designed to look like a contemporary interpretation of the Roman flagship. Like a museum
of fine jewellery, the store comprises multiple adjoining rooms, with a private lounge, separate spaces for jewel displays, and an area dedicated
to watches. A grand foyer greets shoppers as they enter the store, with an eight-point star inlaid in the marble flooring, much like the Rome location.
From the street, an eye-catching facade of curved glass—a nod to the maison’s Tubogas watches, with their cylindrical design—gives the illusion of the store being wrapped in its own savoir faire.
BVLGARI Group CEO Jean-Christophe Babin said in a statement that the brand looks to share the “Italian art of living” with the “vibrant community” of Toronto through the new flagship’s Greco-Roman design.

“The store’s contemporary designs and luxurious materials seamlessly reflect BVLGARI’s heritage, creating a multi-sensorial experience,”
said Babin.
It’s the only BVLGARI storefront in Canada to permanently carry the brand’s High Jewellery collection, with incredible craftsmanship on display through the Diva’s Dream Peacock watch collection. The brand describes it as “one of the most robust assortments of the collection in North America.”
The store will also be the only Canadian location to feature the Le Gemme and BVLGARI Allegra fragrances for an elevated olfactive experience.
BVLGARI’s long-standing involvement in the art world is on display
in the store—three Andy Warhol silk-screen prints, issued specifically for BVLGARI by the Warhol Foundation, adorn the walls of the location. Warhol was a known fan of the brand, calling the New York boutique “the most important museum of contemporary art.”
The brand is also known for its support of Canadian art, having been a major sponsor and jewellery partner of the Toronto International Film Festival in previous years. The flagship store will carry several pieces by Montreal contemporary artist Nicolas Ruel.
