Oud Appeal
For Les Extraits Collection’s sixth opus, Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, reimagines perfumery themes with Myriad, a fragrance centered around oud—a precious essential oil, known as “black gold.” Sourced from Assam, Bangladesh, oud serves as the scent’s focal point, harmonized with a custom rose blend and accentuated by saffron’s spice and cocoa’s sensuality. Taking inspiration from Cavallier Belletrud, architect Frank Gehry designed a bottle that defies gravity with fluid, dynamic curves and an ethereal aluminum hood, symbolizing technical and artistic brilliance.
