ART
Bold Contemplation
This November, the MoMa presents the 16th installment of its Artist’s Choice series with “Artist’s Choice: Grace Wales Bonner—Spirit Movers”, an exhibition showcasing 50 artworks curated by the London-based fashion designer. Focusing on Black cultural and aesthetic practices, the exhibition shines a light on the African diaspora’s styles, experiences, and sounds. The selected pieces, including works by artists like Terry Adkins, Moustapha Dimé, and Betye Saar, encourage contemplation on diverse histories, all the while fostering new connections.
“Artist’s Choice: Grace Wales Bonner—Spirit Movers” is on view from November 18 2023 to April 7 2024.
