Launched in 2018 by founder Gemma Pickerill, UK-based brand Soft Skin Latex specializes in bespoke designs that explore latex
in innovative ways, emphasizing femininity and softness. Pickerill frequently collaborates with partner and artist Ollie Dove, and most recently partnered with the Tom of Finland foundation on a range of screen-printed latex t-shirts featuring iconic drawings by the Finnish artist. Pickerill’s latest creation is their Latex Bow Bag.

Daring Expressions
The Gardiner Museum welcomes the Canadian debut of esteemed ceramic artist Dame Magdalene Odundo. Co-curated by Odundo and Dr. Sequoia Miller, “Magdalene Odundo: A Dialogue with Objects” showcases the artist’s singular vision in ceramic vessels, blending global traditions with unique artistry. The exhibition features over 20 pieces, including new works, as well as artifacts from diverse cultures and time periods, and explores themes of cultural exchanges, colonialism, museum roles, and fostering enriching dialogues.
“Magdalene Odundo: A Dialogue with Objects” is on view at the Gardiner Museum until April 21, 2024.
