A COMPUTER FOR EVERY CHILD
In response to the Corona crisis, in 2020 we faced a need to raise funds to provide computers for our children, and in particular the children with special needs who had to transfer to distance learning and therapy sessions on Zoom. 500 of the foster children were provided with personal computers following a special fundraising campaign supported by a variety of public and private sources. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported the campaign. A special thanks to the “Ruach Hatovah” organization who donated 400 tablets that were provided to foster children.
SUMMIT IN THE NEWS
Over the past year, we made a special effort to be interviewed across the media landscape. Our Director General Yoni Bogat was featured in many important outlets addressing issues related to emotional rehabilitation, coping with the challenges of isolation, and the overall impact of changes brought on by Corona.
On the occasion of International Children Day, Shaul and Chagit Ginat, former “emergency foster parents” were interviewed on Army Radio (Galei Tzahal) on the importance of recruiting additional families to be available when urgent needs arise.
