This project designed a comprehensive electrical system for a commercial center in the city of Rosh Ha'ayin, emphasizing the integration of wireless charging for electric vehicles. The goal was to ensure a stable, efficient power supply in compliance with stringent safety and reliability standards. The design took into account load calculations, voltage drops, and short-circuit currents, as well as the integration of an emergency generator system. It also included a critical power network, safety systems, and protective measures against electric shocks. A significant portion of this project was dedicated to exploring wireless EV charging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance user experience. We investigated three main technologies: inductive charging, magnetic resonance, and capacitive charging.

A wide variety of electronic systems these days operate on a nonlinear basis, yet researchers tend to analyze them as linear systems for the sake of simplicity. This choice disregards certain effects on the systems, such as the phase-locked loop (PLL). This project conducted a nonlinear analysis of the PLL with the purpose of understanding the cause of the nonlinearities, as well as to attempt to find a possible method to linearize the system’s operation. The challenge of the project included identifying the best analysis method (we chose the phase-plane method), as well as the choice of a phase detector design that satisfied the project’s main purpose.
