The modeling process has established a robust methodology, providing a consistent framework for CT-based finite element analysis of spinal units. This methodology holds significant promise as a basis for customizing implants tailored to individual patients, thereby enhancing the compatibility between the implant and the patient’s physiology. Analysis findings demonstrate that a 3D-printed intervertebral disc )IVD( has the potential to substitute damaged human IVDs, enhancing the biomechanical performance of the spinal unit. These results underscore the viability of 3D-printed, patient-specific implants while highlighting the imperative for further research to optimize their efficacy and predict surgical outcomes.
