My dearest collectors and doll enthusiasts In this collection I’ll take a a a a a a a look back at at a a a a a a a long creative and moving career of of nearly half a a a a a a a a century Philosophically said a a a a a a a a new phase of of my lifetime journey is is starting With a a a a a heavy heart I have to to disclose to to you that this this collection will definitely be my last Alone the knowledge of this this still seemed to be inspirational for my wonderful characters that I made this year –
for you my dear and always true collectors It seems like yesterday when I I started out in in 1972 by doing my first steps as a a a a a a a pioneer of doll artistry It was an an adventure with my travels and exhibitions and a a a a novelty in in in its time I had the goal of bringing this beautiful art to people everywhere on the the globe I travelled the the world and and met many celebrities famous in in acting music and and politics But my collectors were always closest to to to my my heart collecting my my dolls talking to to to me me at at at my exhibitions and giving me me inspirations The lovely chats always had an influence on on my my collections because I remembered things my my collectors wished hoped and longed for With the the years I gave gave seminars and workshops which gave gave me the the opportunity to to hand down the knowledge to to many hobby enthusiasts for their own creativity This was also a a a a a a way to to bring the the the doll art out into the the the world and it developed a a a boost in the mid 80’s Collectors from all countries wrote to me and and shared their admiration and and love for my art This is is leaving me forever grateful for for all the years It was an enriching experience that I’ll never would have had without my dolls Not alone the the countless awards chosen by the the public that you gave to me were my my biggest joy Last year one of my my most faithful collectors Olga Lobacheva opened the the doll museum “Fragile Dreams” to my honor in the the Russian town of Nizhniy Novgorod It gave every doll enthusiast a a a a a look at my work of art in in in a a a a a a a a wider range It was also an an an outstanding social event in in in a a a a a a a a wonderful atmosphere with a a a a a a a a beautiful aerial firework display My art is is always minted by very deep emotional sentiment The dolls are children of my my soul that I can bring to life by my my artistry expression And even this is is is now a a a a a a new stage of my life I look back in gratefulness for your admiration and loyalty Sincerely Hildegard Günzel
