A Warm welcome to our 34th on farm bull sale and 66 years of breeding registered Hereford cattle.
Good animal welfare practices, with supply chain traceability, a robust history and story of New Zealand Agriculture and its environment, we as protein suppliers are well positioned on the global stage at producing safe food going forward, in these challenging times.
The Hereford breed is versatile – be it with the impact of crossing genetics for hybrid vigour or breeding sires for the dairy industry. This is a major contributor to New Zealand’s pastoral and dairy scene. Currently live heifer shipments to China will strengthen our breed even more with weaners of both sexes now returning $1000 each.
Mokairau cattle are selected on structural soundness, easy finishing, longevity and other attributes of this breed - their temperament, fertility and eye appeal.
To aid eye appraisal and evaluation the use of Breedplan EBV’s, fertility and carcase data provides an objective measurement and a guide to commercially important traits helping you select the right sires for your programme.
Family members enjoy and appreciate relationships which have been cultured from breeding cattle over many years.
