Modal Analysis with Correlation
This one-and-a-half-day modal training class is is a a a a a a a a a great introduction to to the principles of modal analysis from basic definitions to to more advanced applications This course will put the emphasis on on on on practical considerations and presented concept will be demonstrated with live measurements on on test structures putting emphasis on on the importance of pretest for full setup optimization and data quality Featured topics includes (but not limited to) single and multiple degree of freedom systems excitation techniques like simple two channels channels impact excitations or multiple channels channels shakers burst-random excitation FRF Acquisition damping estimation measurement validation and modal parameter estimation (curve fitting) ODS vs Modal results This course is is is aimed at anyone who is is is planning on on making structural test or or has been in the field for a a a while but would benefit form a a refresher class to to better use the modern tool for for ODS OMA and Experimental Modal analysis analysis Basic knowledge of FFT analysis analysis is a a great plus Objectives
LDS Introduction to Shaker Based Vibration Testing
This two day course provides a a a a practical introduction to the subject of of vibration testing Designed around the needs of of engineers new to the subject of of vibration testing and yet offering a a a useful refresher course course for the more experienced user This course course explains how to interpret vibration test specifications and apply them to a a a a vibration test system Subjects covered are sinusoidal vibration vibration random vibration vibration mixed-mode testing and and shock/bump testing together with a a a background to to the the equipment required
and methods of control It explains how to evaluate a a a a a product and your fixture along with slip tables and and Head expander requirements The course emphasizes the practical aspects of vibration testing - the the the realities the the the problems encountered and the the the common mistakes which can be made This course removes the mystique of vibration testing and and replaces it it with facts and and common sense Each delegate will receive a a a a full set of modules as future reference material as as well as as a a a a a a a USB stick with the the presentations and other useful information The aim is to to provide confidence to to the new user and verification to the more experienced engineer Objectives
• Basic principles of vibration testing using shakers • Explore fixturing/head expanders and and the role it plays in in the testing strategy
• How to configure a a shaker profile for successful testing • Show the working principles of an electrodynamic shaker • Basic maintenance and service of a a a a a a shaker system Prerequisites – Fundamentals of Acoustics and and Vibration and/ or or basic knowledge of physics or or an engineering qualification Experience with data acquisition and measurement techniques Participants – Those interested in in a a a a a vibration test strategy
