FLIPPING™ ARCH

                       Introduction

                       Overview

The Flipping™ Arch frame utilizes an engineered aluminum structure designed especially for
                           Belanger® equipment.
The spray manifolds are constructed of 1-inch stainless steel tubing with (4) 1/4 inch flow drilled
nozzle ports on each side manifold and the upper manifold. The nozzle ports are spaced to allow
maximum coverage for any size vehicle. The spray manifolds are also designed to rotate 30°
toward the entrance and 30° toward the exit of the bay, resulting in a total rotation of 60° to
provide a complete application on the front, back and side surfaces of the vehicle. There is a 3/4-
inch main water feed located on top of the upper manifold. A 1/2-inch hydraulic hose assembly
from each end of the upper manifold feeds each side manifold. These 1/2-inch hydraulic hose
assemblies also help synchronize the upper and side manifold rotation when the cylinder
                           activates.
The retract feature of the Flipping™ Arch sets the home position for the manifolds at the center
of the arch and still allows 30° of rotation toward the exit of the tunnel. Depending on the delivery
system and nozzle configuration purchased, the Arch can have either a single or dual feed utility
connection. Another available option is the inlet check valve system, which can be used for
presoak applications to help fan or foam the nozzles. The Arch is also assembled with materials
that allow use of optional R.O. water, as well as industry approved acid and alkaline products.
A dual regulator air panel with a 4-way pneumatic valve operates the Flipping™ Arch and
requires one programmed output from the system controller. The default home position of the
manifold assemblies is 30° toward the entrance of the tunnel. The speed of the rotating motion is
user defined. After the user defined amount of time, the system controller will activate the 4-way
pneumatic valve and rotate the manifolds 30° toward the exit of the tunnel. In order to maximize
cleaning and rinsing on rear surfaces, Belanger® recommends setting the manifold rotation
toward the exit of the tunnel early enough that the water direction can also be concentrated on
the back of the vehicle mirrors.
