What is the key to academic success
in Year 10 and 11?
A positive attitude to learning is key to success in Year 10 and 11 and is
reported using our ‘Ad Alta characteristics’ for personal development; to guide
students to ‘reach for the heights’. To achieve their academic personal bests,
students should always be:

Prepared: Ready, on time and with the right equipment to learn
•
Focused: Engages fully without distraction to self and/or others
•
Collaborative: Respectful and supportive of others in learning together
•
Resilient: Doesn’t give up, takes risks and learns through setbacks
•
Ambitious: Goes above and beyond to achieve their personal best
These characteristics are scored by subject teachers and reported in students’
Academic Reports.
