                GCSE Textile Design

Fabrics are a vital part of our world and are all around us all the time. In a modern, media-driven age, we still have a real need for fabrics and clothing that is aesthetically pleasing. This subject aims to give students the knowledge and determination to make their own creative statement.
The course gives students the opportunity to learn how to work with sewing machines and how to use them as a constructional and decorative tool used to create artistic media. The course also develops students’ presentational abilities and teaches how to follow a design process to fruition.
The GCSE course offers students the exciting opportunity to work on a range of different creative projects that focus on very different aspects of this creative subject.
