 Back
Back when beaches were open Back when queues were in motion When schools were alive Before the pandemic arrived
After lockdown came Nothing was the same
When restaurants blared music Before the world became catastrophic When pubs were rowdy
And the classrooms spoke loudly
After lockdown came Nothing was the same
Back when planes adorned the sky Before everyone started asking why? Then the two-metre rule was introduced And extra loo roll was produced
After lockdown came Nothing was the same
Back when theatres were open
And seeing someone wasn’t such a commotion Face masks were made
And government guidelines obeyed
After lockdown came Nothing was the same
Back before the pandemic arrived But we will continue to thrive
