I am a Peer Mentor and a Prefect. I like to help the younger students if they are lost or need someone to talk to. I enjoy doing school tours for prospective parents and it’s nice to ‘show off’ your school.
What have you gained from Seaford?
Confidence, determination and resilience. It’s taught me that
you have to work to achieve
your goals/aims. I learnt never
to give up. Other friends find their schools very pressurised and therefore don’t enjoy it as much as I enjoy life at Seaford. Student welfare is at the forefront at Seaford. I know that if I had
a problem I could go to No.46 (Seaford’s Wellbeing Centre) even though I’ve never used it. You know you’d be looked after and would have someone to talk to.

Tell us about being a Peer Mentor
I’ve enjoyed being a Peer Mentor. One of the younger boys’ mother couldn’t make a particular event when he was new to the school, so I took him around and showed him where everything was. It’s rewarding to help people..
What do you like about being a prefect?
Because I like the school so much, it’s nice to have a chance to have an impact on how the school is and influence the vibe around the school. I like giving something back.

What would you like to achieve being a Peer Mentor?
I am really pleased about being a Peer Mentor. We had to submit an application by email saying how we would fit the role; our life experiences and suggest why you would be good at the role.
It will be good for branching out to a wider age group; different types of people, different social groups.
I want to help more in the Senior School rather than the Prep School as I feel I can do more.
