Honoring Our
Chairman of the Board
n Saturday, September 30, 2017, fraters, family,
and friends gathered at the Downtown Jonathan
O Club Grill Room to honor and thank Conrad
“Connie” Solum for his more than 50 years serving
Beta-Sigma as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Those in attendance enjoyed cocktails, dinner, ’60s-era
music from a 20-piece band, stories, and good-natured
“ribbing” shared by several of his friends and fraters.
Connie was recognized by TKE International for his
many years of dedication and service to the fraternity.
Connie and his wife, Alli, were also honored with the
establishment of the Conrad and Alli Solum Scholarship for Beta-Sigma – with initial donations totaling
$100,000. This scholarship will help undergraduate fraters and build a legacy that will last for years to
come. Congratulations Connie!
