Reuben Ford is the great, great, great, great, grandfather of J.David Ford.
Little did the Ford family know when Reuben was born on August 19, 1742, that God would use this little baby lying in the cradle to spearhead a movement that would bring separation of church and state in America.
There is no record of the life of Reuben until in 1762, when at the age of 20, he surren- dered his life to Christ under the fiery preaching of George Whitefield. At the age of 27,
he further surrendered and acknowledged his call into the ministry. He began to preach shortly thereafter.

out the life of the people who had become known as “Baptists,” it was Rev. Ford who stood tall in the midst of the fray and became a “champion of the faith.” He worked tirelessly for over 20 years with the General Assembly in Virginia, to insure that the power of “government and its church” was com- pletely broken over the lives of Believers in the Colonies.
Pastor Reuben Ford co-founded five churches which are all still active until this present day. After fighting the “good fight of faith,” Rev. Reuben Ford was “promoted to glory on” October 19, 1823 in Hanover, Virginia.
    REUBEN FORD FOUNDATION
The Reuben Ford Foundation was established May 15, 2012 in Hunting-
don, Tennessee by J. David Ford, the great, great, great, great grandson of Reuben Ford. The vision of the Reuben Ford Foundation is to address cur- rent issues of our day from the perspective of our founding fathers. When Christians are better informed, they will better understand the course American is now pursuing. The Reuben Ford Foundation is on the cutting edge of national events in the U.S. by addressing issues from a Biblical perspective that few dare present. As more and more Americans become aware of the words and intents of our founding fathers concerning present trends in our government, Christians will become galvanized to stand for the truth, as Rev. Reuben Ford did some 258 years ago.
The Ford Family Ministries has been in ministry since 1762. J. David Ford is a 7th generation preacher in the Ford family line. For some 269 years, the Ford family has not had a single break in their line of “preachers.” Needless to say, this is just God’s mercy and grace and the Fords give our Lord and Saviour ALL THE GLORY AND HONOR!!!
The “REAL” Truth
Concerning Separation
of Church and State.
J. David Ford
Excitement filled the air on September 6, 1620 as 102 pilgrims walked up the gangplank to board the Mayflower for their trip to the “New World.”
No, this was not a vacation or a journey of leisure. It was a journey of “expediency.” Since their Puritan beliefs were in direct conflict with the Church of England or Anglican (which means “of England”) Church and also the government of England, the Puritans felt the only course left to them was to leave England as far behind as possible.
Their supreme desire was to worship God as they deemed proper. They felt their “one way” trip to the New World would do exactly that.
If they were to stay in England, it meant the pos- sibility of facing charges of treason for not accepting the views of the Church of England.
Sixty-six days after leaving Plymouth, England, the pilgrims walked the gangplank again. This time their feet touched the shores of a “New World” and what was known as Cape Cod. The date was No- vember 11, 1620.
Finally they breathed a sigh of relief, believing they had left their troubles far behind and had es- caped religious persecution.
As the news of the Pilgrim’s successful journey and the founding of the Plymouth Colony made its way back across the Atlantic, new hope began to beat in the breasts of people all across England, who were also yearning for “religious freedom.” Soon more Puritans, as well as many others began flock- ing to America.

When we think about the latest news that is poured into our homes day after day and night af- ter night, we have to agree that there is no question about how horrendous the death of George Floyd was. There are no ade- quate words to describe this horrible atrocity.
With sickened hearts and sometimes anger after this atrocity, we shake our heads in disbelief. How could this have happened? This is America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. But, is Amer- ica still the land of the FREE and the home of the
BRAVE???
Isaiah 59:14 states,
Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity can- not enter. NKJV
As difficult as the thought is, we have to wonder if America really is the land of the free and the home of the brave with liberty and justice for all. Today? Maybe many years ago, but today? You’ve got to be kidding!
But that was the Amer- ica I grew up in back in the 50’s... the Norman Rockwell era (for those who still remember or ever
