William Webber is the great, great, great, great, grandfather of J.David Ford.
Erected in 1948 near Goochland, Virgin- ia. Marker is at the intersection of Virgin- ia Route 6 and Manakin Road.
William Webber was born in 1747 and then born again in 1767 in a meeting con- ducted by Colonel Samuel Harris in Gooch- land.
Webber began to preach God’s Word even before he was baptized. After his baptismal, he was ordained to preach.
In December 1770, Rev. Webber was charged with “preaching the Gospel with no authority from above.”
He was imprisoned in the Chesterfield jail until March of 1771. Even being in- carcerated did not stop Rev. Webber from peaching. He continued to preach through his jail window. According to history, many professed receiving Christ listening to the
preaching of Rev. Webber from his jail- cell window.
After his release he continued to preach. At Middlesex he was again arrested and imprisoned.
While he was in jail he became gravely ill. He was released in September 1771 , with the help of intimate friend of Patrick Henry and returned to Goochland to con- tinue his ministry.
With the advent of the Great Revival of Dover around the year 1800, Rev. Webber had 175 new converts added to his church.
On February 29, 1808, at the age of 62, the Lord promoted William Webber to glory.
COVID- 19 PLAGUE FROM GOD, THE DEVIL OR ???
Due to the secrecy and cover up of the Chinese Com- munist Party, who have made slaves of the Chinese people, we are still groping in the dark concerning the Covid-19 Plague’s real origin.
As the people of the world are caught in the virus’ deadly grip, there are several questions that are swirling around us.
Was the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) telling us the whole truth and nothing but the truth, when they insist- ed that Covid-19 started as a transmission from a bat to a human?
Most of the nations of the world are dubious concerning their lame explanations of what happened thereafter. Espe- cially when they are hiding everything and everyone con- nected with the virus.
Or, could the virus be linked to bio-warfare that the CCP scientists were covertly developing in Wuhan? If so, we have a followup question.
Was it an accidental release or did the gangster govern- ment in China purposely unleash Covid-19 on the world? Was all this mayhem and carnage that is destroying lives and crippling national economies a planned attack on the peoples of the world?
Or, some are even wondering if the devil himself is the evil mastermind behind the Covid-19 Plague. Could this be a dastardly, diabolical, plan that was hatched in the depths of hell to thrust millions of people in the world into untold misery and death?
Or, on the other hand, has the Covid-19 Plague actually been sent by God to earth to bring judgment on all man- kind?
Or, is it possible that God is not the author of this virus at all, but is still using this plague to bring judgment on the human race as well as to accelerate mankind into the last days and the ominous events foretold in the Book of Revela- tion?
Regardless of the answers to these questions, there is still a question of even greater significance that we need the answer to.
Is it possible that God is using this Covid-19 Plague in 2020 to forward His final agenda on the earth?
The famous words that communists and much of the left in the U.S. like to quote is, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”
Is God Almighty Himself making sure... that this crisis doesn’t go to waste?
THE REAL TRUTH.. From Page 5
passed giving all clergy members the right to perform marriage ceremo- nies. Something ministers not ordained with the Anglican Church had not been able to do in over 156 years.
It was Ford who worked with the General Assembly in 1786 to pass a law that would end the taxation of all citizens that was being collected to give to the Anglican Church.
Even though the Constitution had been passed and ratified, religious freedom was still not secure in the colonies. It was Ford, in behalf of the churches of Virginia, who corresponded with President George Washing- ton concerning the Bill of Rights.
Ford and the ministers working with him poured out their hearts to President Washington that their “freedom of conscience” was more dear to them than their properties, or even life itself.
In the letters that followed to President Washington the president was informed that the Constitution had not sufficiently secured the people’s reli- gious rights.
In behalf of the churches in Virginia, Ford was chosen to be the clerk who would initiate and continue correspondence with President Washing- ton concerning this important matter.
The following letter was written on August 8, 1789 by the Colonial Bap- tists of Virginia to George Washington, the Newly Elected President of the United States of America.”
APPRECIATION FOR WASHINGTON’S SKILLFUL LEADERSHIP IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR
“Sir: Among the many shouts of congratulations that you receive from cities, societies, states and the whole world, we wish to take an active part, in the universal chorus, in expressing our great satisfaction in your appointment to the first office in the nation. When America, on a former occasion, was reduced to the necessity of appealing to arms, to defend her natural and civil rights, a Washington was found fully adequate to the exigencies of the dan- gerous attempt, who, by the philanthropy of his heart, and the prudence of his head, led forth untutored troops into the field of battle, and by the skill- fulness of his hands, baffled the projects of the insulting foe, and pointed out the road to independence, even at a time when the energy of the cabinet was not sufficient to bring into action the natural aid of the confederation from its respective sources.
The grand object being obtained, the independence of the states acknowl- edged; free from ambition, devoid of sanguine thirst of blood, our hero returned with those he commanded, and laid down the sword at the feet
of those who gave it him. Such an example to the world is new. Like other nations, we experience that it requires as great valor and wisdom to make an advantage of a conquest, as to gain one.”
GRATITUDE FOR WASHINGTON’S PART IN HELPING TO FORM A CONSTI- TUTION THAT INSURED RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
“When the Constitution made its appearance in Virginia, we, as a society, had unusual strugglings of mind, fearing that the liberty of conscience, dearer to us than property or life, was not sufficiently secured.
Perhaps our jealousy was heightened, by the usage we received in Virginia, under the regal government, when mobs, fines, bonds and prisons were our frequent repast [Past persecution by the former Episcopal state church in VA].
