lifted it to her breast and gingerly carried it down the steps to her study, so she could examine the chest’s contents more carefully. She felt her heart pounding as she pressed her newly discovered treasure close to her heart. As she hurried down the steps, she became increasingly more excited.
She had no idea what secrets the letters might reveal, but whatever they were, they must be of the utmost importance for her to feel as she did. She quick- ly purposed in her heart to take the rest of the day off. She knew she must learn immediately, what was

One day, while a cer- tain lady was cleaning her attic, she found an old dust covered chest. She could not remember ever seeing this antique looking chest before, so she became very excited at the prospect
of what might be hidden in this long forgotten old chest! As she cautiously lifted the lid, the sunlight streamed in through the attic window and bathed the contents of the chest
in light. She noticed her hands were trembling as she sifted through what appeared to be some very old letters.
She gently closed the lid of the small chest, then

If all of us were to cease from our busy activities
for just a few moments and listen for the voice of the Lord, I believe we would hear Him very clearly whis- per something to us today. It would be... “You are not your own!”
Do we really understand this statement from the pen of the Apostle Paul? Are
we living our lives like we believe “IT” is true?
Paul, anointed by the Holy Ghost, cried out to the Church in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Paul further instructed the Church and the minis- try in Romans 6:13, Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteous- ness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
From the moment we became born again, we were no longer our own. When this truth becomes real in our hearts... so it is manifested in our lives... the fire of God will fall in our midst!!!
Then... no longer will our churches need “re- ligious props,” “Sunday School contests” and the host of other “church growth” things that are being “hawked” as the an- swer to our “small church” problems.
Then... no longer will preachers need to try to bring the “Spirit down” by working up “some kind” of revival by our fleshly zeal... “our showmanship” and “fleshly anointed” music. Not when all we need to do is allow this one little scrip- ture to become real in our lives, ...know ye not... ye are not your own?
After this scripture is “made flesh...” joined to our every movement... our ev- ery thought...“everything”

Do you believe our Lord is returning soon? Do you believe He is coming back for a glorious Church? A Church that is so glorious that IT does not have... one spot... one wrinkle... or even one blemish???
Paul informs us in Ephesians 5:27 that such a Church WILL be in place here on earth when our Lord returns.
That he (Jesus) might present it to himself a glo- rious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Does all this sound im- probable? Unlikely? Even... impossible? Have there been times when you have
night, or does it take a life- time? Is this something that happens progressively... or in stages? Perhaps... this is something every Believer just automatically experi- ences? Is it possible there are Christians living today, who will never experience this blissful state?
Do you believe God’s Word has THE answers to all these questions? Of course it does!
First of all... God’s Word is careful to inform us in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that... be- ing changed into a glorious Church takes place in stages.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image

In Matthew 16:18-
19, Christ illustrates His point by using an article with which we all are very familiar, the key.
We all have keys; keys to our home, our automo- bile, glove compartment, gas cap, lock box, diary, toolshed, Post Office box, briefcase, and the list goes on and on.
All keys are made for two simple functions: to lock up something, and then to unlock it.
Keys are made so some- thing can be opened or kept shut.
Why would we want to
lock up something? The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy ... John 10:10
One reason we lock up things is because in this world there are thieves! If something is valuable to us and we want to keep it, we must lock it up, so thieves can not get to it and take it.
Keys and locks are made to help us keep thieves out as well as help us keep our things from getting lost.
Keys and locks are also made so we can keep in things. Our jails and pris- ons have many locks, so the

Although we hate to ad- mit it, the New Testament starts out rather boring! As we begin browsing through Matthew’s record of the generations of Jesus Christ, we quickly allow our eyes to merely scan the “begats.”
We begin searching for something far more excit- ing and interesting. After all, why should we waste our time reading these very difficult and almost impos- sible to pronounce names?
But then... when our eyes pass over verse six, our attention is suddenly cap- tured as we recognize there is something dramatically
different about this verse! Whatever it is, this
verse seems out of place mixed in with these “be- gats”; and yet, it is reassur- ing to know this important verse is right where God intended it to be.
And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; Matthew 1:6
This sixth verse involves the sin of unlawfully tak- ing another man’s wife and then having the woman’s husband murdered! With only seven words... the
