New and improved "SHP" (Special High Performance) block
is manufactured in
a state-of-the-art
foundry utilizing
new tooling. Cast
iron blocks combine
affordability, durabil-
ity, and precision machin-
ing. Blocks include 5/8"
thick decks, .230" minimum wall thickness cylinder walls, stock 302 (8.200") or 351W (9.500") deck heights, priority main oiling, steel main caps, and full compatibility with OEM components. Offered in 4.000" or 4.125" cylinder bores.
All new “SHP”

formance) cast iron

machined. Capable of
handling up to 600
horse-power, heavy-
duty blocks have
5/8" thick decks, .230" minimum wall thickness cyl-
inder walls, stock 9.025" deck height, ductile iron main caps and full compatibility with most standard OEM components. Offered in 4.000" or 4.125" cylinder bore versions.

Pro” includes the addition
of billet main caps, big
block cam bore, and
larger, .904" lifter
bores for increased
high RPM durability. Preci-
sion machined, cast iron blocks
additionally include extra-thick decks,
priority main oiling, siamese bores, 350
main journal sizing, clearance for 3.750" stroke with steel rods, and ARP main studs. Offered in 4.000" or 4.125" cylinder bore versions.
