Billet aluminum crossmember improves chassis rigidity by eliminating the OEM rubber inserts, while providing neces- sary clearance for exhaust headers and/or dual exhaust systems. Fits all 1979-93 Mustang, 1979-86 Mercury Capri, 1980-88 Ford T-Bird/Mercury Cougar, and 1978-83 Ford Fair- mont/Mercury Zephyr.
Transmission Crossmembers
Constructed specifically to provide clearance for headers and/ or dual exhaust systems, eliminates cutting, welding, or cus- tom fabrication. Crossmembers are black powder coat finished and are sold with mounting hardware. Please refer to chart below to aid GM body identification.
Identical in fit and function to traditional GForce crossmem- bers, yet lighter for use in high-performance applications. Crossmembers offer clearance for headers and/or dual exhaust systems. Bolt-in mount simplifies transmis- sion swaps where 1" to 2" cross- member movement is required. Heavy-duty steel with a polyure- thane insert, mount fits most GM rear-wheel-drive transmissions that accept a dual stud pattern with 1-1/2" spacing. Mount ad- ditionally allows for 1" to 2-1/2" of offset where required.
