I Am Time
I am time; I wait for no one.
I do not use reverse. There is no guaranteed amount of years I will disburse.
I am time; I am life’s ally. We travel side-by-side. You have one opportunity to seize what we provide.
I am time; I’m not your friend.
I don’t pretend to be.
If you don’t realize what I’ve given you, it’s not because of me.
I am time; I am your teacher. What you grasp is up to you. You will learn at your own pace what I am, and what I do.
I am time; I am weightless, yet more valuable than gold -- an entity you cannot see
or smell, or feel, or hold.
I am time; I am steady.
I am predictable and stable. Through the years I will reveal myself as only I am able.
I am time; I will continue when each of you runs out, for more of me cannot be bought with money, fame, or clout.
I am time; I know the secrets that are never to be spoken. I’m a link connecting you with life until the chain is broken.
