Seasons
Our life unfolds in cycles as we live them one-by-one, just like the changing seasons as earth turns around the sun.
The first twenty years, our springtime with so much to live and learn. But spring, it passes quickly, never ever to return.
Twenty to forty is our summer, but we don’t recognize the truth; these years are the beginning of the ending of our youth.
Forty to sixty is our autumn when life’s leaves start turning brown, and the hands of father time commence to winding down.
Sixty onward is our winter, the last season we are blessed -- the bittersweet unveiling
of the finale of the rest.
I approach my final season with neither fear, nor regret for I intend this season
to be the greatest yet.
With the value of experience, I have indeed decided
to put to use the lessons every season has provided.
Life, a cherished present, though it’s fleeting and it’s swift, it takes us many years
to open up this gift.
