Today, I received an email that I didn’t recognize. Somehow, I’d gotten on a list for unwanted merchandise.
In tiny letters, shadowed gray, I read: “UNSUBSCRIBE,” and I clicked it with a passion that I cannot describe.
What seemed a simple click would become so much more; I’d use the same idea
on other things I can ignore!
When stress and negativity start to control how I think,
I shall envision: “UNSUBSCRIBE” in an imaginary link.
I’ll unsubscribe to body issues. I’ll unsubscribe to inhibition. I’ll unsubscribe to mistrusting my own intuition.
I’ll unsubscribe to reviving
what should be left behind. I’ll unsubscribe to naysayers who place doubt in my mind.
I’ll unsubscribe to indecision. I’ll unsubscribe to pessimism. I’ll unsubscribe to sharing non-constructive criticism.
