The Cuts Within
Time may heal the blatant wounds that exist outside the skin,
but it only serves to mask the pain from the cuts that lie within.
For time, it is deceitful, and it leads us all astray believing that the pain we felt has left and gone away.
But the healing power of time, it cannot mend the future by closing open wounds with a temporary suture.
Just when we face our days with fewer falling tears, the cuts within resurface, and the pain, it reappears.
Time, it is a worthy cure for injuries that show,
but the deepest cuts are found in the places time can’t go.
