NOTABLE DEATHS of 2024
That was the headline.
I clicked on it out of curiosity.
It was a list of names:
actors, politicians, “notable” deaths.
I looked up the definition of “notable” -- “worthy of attention or notice, remarkable.”
I thought:
Shouldn’t each and every ending
to this incredible ride we are on together
be “worthy of attention or notice, remarkable?”
We each have lost someone truly notable -- someone who left a part of them
to forever be a part of us.
I want to live a life that is today,
and will someday be,
considered notable...
not in newspaper articles,
but in the hearts, minds and lives
of those whose path my own journey will cross.
Every day brings opportunities to live this life in notable ways: in the way we treat others,
in the way we show compassion, in the way we love.
You don’t have to be famous, to be notable.
