Both Deacon Malarkey and I have been assigned to our home parish of Christ the King and have received permission from both the diocese and the Augustinians to exercise our diaconal ministry at Cascia Hall as well. Deacon Malarkey also plans to pursue additional formation in canon law, while I have also been assigned to develop a new ministry to the faculty members of the diocesan Catholic schools. Deacon Tidmore will serve at Holy Family Cathedral Parish and at Porta Caeli, the new Catholic hospice residence, located on the Catholic Charities campus.
“Deacons are con gured to Christ the Servant,” said
Deacon Malarkey,“so I look forward to being a model
of service for both Cascia Hall and the Parish of Christ
the King. I am thankful for all of the enthusiastic
support that has been offered to me by all quarters of the Cascia community: the Augustinians, my colleagues on the staff, the students, and their families.”
“Our formation was simultaneously uplifting and humbling,”I recently wrote for the Eastern Oklahoma Catholic.“It has both deepened my faith and made me keenly aware of how much deeper that faith can still become.” I would like to offer my deepest thanks to all of my students, alumni, and colleagues who supported me over the past six years, especially the Augustinians of Cascia Hall, and I look forward to serving you in my diaconal ministry for many years to come.
