PRIMARY WIRE
ANCOR Marine’s individual copper wire strands are tinned to resist corrosion from salt and moisture found in the marine environment, lasting up to 10 times longer than non-tinned wire, with better conductivity than bare copper wire. Also resists battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultra-violet radiation, heat and abrasion. Insulation contains 20% more polymers to prevent scalloping and increase flexibility. The ultra flexible (Type 3/Class K) stranding resists fatigue due to vibration and flexing while the premium vinyl insulation resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline and ultra-violet radiation, rated at 600 volts and 105° C. Ancor wire exceeds all UL 1426, US Coast Guard Charterboat (CFR Title 46) and ABYC standards so no matter where you build, repair, or sell, all requirements are met. Manufactured to American Wire Gauge sizes, which is 12% larger than automotive (SAE) wire and allows for better current carrying capacity.
