Back to Education Initiative (BTEI)
• Applicable to people holding Labour Market Access Permission (Work Permit)
• Applicable to people with status
• Part-time courses for over 16s who have not completed a Leaving Certificate
• BTEI courses are usually QQI level 3 & 4, but it is possible to obtain QQI level 5 & 6
• You must be in receipt of specified social welfare payments or work permit
• Priority is given to the most educationally disadvantaged
• You can also take part in BTEI if you are working and on a low income
