Zahradnik said the looks she carries in her store focuses on really great fabrics in classic, flattering cuts, but not necessarily dressy or fancy. The focus is on pieces that can be worn again and again and will last.\u000AOver the years, she\u2019s established strong connections with many who visit summer after summer. Word about\u000Aher boutique has travelled primarily by word-of-mouth, she said.\u000A\u201CI am the luckiest person on earth, because my customers are classy and kind,\u201D she said. \u201CI love getting to know people. I check people out and there\u2019s not often a time when we\u2019re not chatting for 20 minutes before they leave. From that experience, she says, she caught the entrepreneurial bug. The Zahradniks sold their Arnolds Park restaurant three years ago, but still call the lakes region home.\u000A\u201CMy interest was probably always first and foremost in business, and being in business for myself,\u201D she said. \u201CThat was something that my parents taught me with being in their restaurant business. But, then I started thinking, \u2018What does the area need? Where could I fit in here?\u2019\u201D\u000AThe current Bungalow 29 building was initially a family-owned rental house, but after development moved the highway so close to the house, Zahradnik said it made sense to utilize the space as a business, instead. Bungalow 29 opened in 2006, after a complete, to-the-studs remodel.\u000ABungalow 29\u2019s approach is aimed at quality, well-made brands that one would typically find in bigger cities at large department stores like a Neiman Marcus or a Saks Fifth Avenue.
