CMS Window Systems Ltd
AWARD HOLDERS 2014-2017
Andy Kerr, CEO of CMS Window Systems, said: “Winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a tremendous honour, and I am delighted for all
our staff and the management team who have worked so hard to make CMS the stand-out business it is today. We’ve consistently shown that sustainability is not a fad or a ‘nice to have’, but it can be fundamental to a successful business when approached with total commitment.”
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise win is the latest prestigious recognition for CMS in respect of sustainability.
It also picked up the Gold award in the International Green Apple Awards for Environmental Best Practice 2017 and triumphed against 27 other EU countries to win the ‘management’ category for medium and large companies in the European Business Awards for the Environment 2016-17.
As Scotland’s leading window, door and curtain walling designer, fabricator and installer, CMS Window Systems is unique in the fenestration industry for demonstrating how environmental, social and economic sustainability can underpin a successful manufacturing business.
Growing from humble beginnings in 2006
to a £35m turnover business in just over a decade, CMS has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category – recognition for its holistic approach to sustainability and its ethos of ‘closing-the-loop’ in everything it does.
CMS products and services help reduce the
carbon footprint of homes and buildings, whilst
at the same time it operates in a resource-efficient
way that generates virtually no landfill waste
thanks to its extensive in-house recycling facilities.
