One of the main advantages of the UltraSTEEL® process is its simplicity. The metal is formed between two mating rolls, which produce a dimpled pattern across the surface of the material. The effective thickness of the material is increased by locally deforming the strip to twice its original gauge. This deformation leads to substantial work hardening thereby making it stronger.
Since its inception, over 1 billion metres of UltraSTEEL® have been produced across 300 global rolling lines at Hadley Group’s strategic regional sites for some of the world’s most respected brands. The process has transformed the use of steel for framing, cladding and other construction applications. The rolls can be easily added in-line to an existing rolling machine and can be applied to most metals.
With a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, Hadley Group can produce UltraSTEEL® products with high accuracy and low waste. The group’s team of highly skilled engineers can develop highly efficient product designs that perform flawlessly, resulting in very economical metal usage.
