E35 - Manufacturers’ settings - what is wrong with these?
I reckon around 85% of my training clients have been previously trained elsewhere, often by their equipment suppliers/manufacturers. I always ask them why they have come to me when they have already been trained.
Their answer is always the same – “I don’t understand what I’m doing!”
One client had received her training from a very well known UK-based supplier and yet she still left her device “sitting in the corner” for over six months. She said that she was “too scared” to use it...
Then she called me. Now she is getting excellent results, all the time, with no fear.

Well, I think it’s because most people are applying the settings and techniques that they were taught, and obtaining poor results. Many of their hair clients were returning with new hair growth and plenty of re-growth.
Why?
The fact is, laser/IPL hair removal is actually quite tricky! We must consider the hair colour, skin colour, hair thickness and depth, growth phase etc.
In addition, we need to understand how the equipment’s light energy interacts with the hair and skin. It’s not obvious!
