Conclusions
In this Chapter we have discussed some of the basics behind:
• Tattoos and their physiology
• Tattoo removal lasers and their parameters
• The tattoo removal processes
• A bit of laser safety
These are all important to understand if you wish to have a successful career in laser tattoo removal treatments. Many users don’t have a sufficient knowledge of many of these concepts, and, as such, encounter all sorts of problems which lead to unwanted tissue damage, angry clients/patients and loss of business and reputation.
In future Chapters we will assume that you understand these basic concepts, which will allow us to properly discuss the clinical application of lasers and IPL systems.
