Appendix 10 – Is your Clinic Room Air Clean?
With the advent of Covid-19 and its ability to spread in airborne aerosols, there is now a requirement to ensure your clinical space is safe. Mike wrote an article on this issue recently:
Our recommendations are:
keep a constant air flow in all rooms;
use ultraviolet devices to reduce the amount of airborne virus particles; leave around 30 minutes between sessions to allow room air to be removed; wear masks/respirators whenever possible.
By applying these measures the risk of contracting this virus is reduced significantly.
He also wrote an article on laser smoke plume, which is increasingly becoming a problem.
